I was browsing through the nominations to find someone doing a cover of Martina McBride’s “My Valentine”…for the whole Valentine spirit since it is, after all, the day of love. The search landed on 19-year-old Melinda Wong, aspiring recording artist from Malaysia. Listening to her cover of Martina McBride’s “My Baby Loves Me” reminds me of Terri Naomi.

She is currently writing original songs to sell on her website. Her strong faith in herself and the ability to make all songs her own will land her at the top. I suggest listening to her version of Martina Mcbride’s “My Baby Loves Me” on her MySpace site. It’s a mixture of pop and country…Melinda Wong style.
