Awhile back, we featured Kina Grannis, otherwise known as the “Digg Girl” who shot up to popularity through the use of Digg and Youtube. According to the Wall Street Journal, she was one of the three finalists in the Dorito’s contest looking for user-generated content from musicians. The other two finalists were P. Oberoi and Landon Austion. Through the use of Digg and Youtube, Kina Grannis was able to obtain enough votes to be the winner of the competition, landing her a commercial contract with Doritos.
