For all of those artists thinking that no one is noticing their uploaded talent on Youtube or MySpace - think again. 25-year-old Tay Zonday, otherwise known as the “Chocolate Rain Sensation” has landed a deal with Dr. Pepper. He made Internet headlines with an intriguing voice that sounds like a blend of Paul Robeson and Barry White.

Tay Zonday, whose real name is Adam Bahner, has just posted “Cherry Chocolate Rain” in collaboration with Dr. Pepper a few weeks ago. Neither party will confirm how much Zonday received for the ad. This is a major step for the promotion of Youtube artists to companies. Traditionally, software companies are interested in signing with mainstream talent such as Britney Spears or Pink but there’s a new shift towards looking on Youtube for the very best musical talent.
