ContraStream lets users vote on the best and worst indie music albums.  Only the best albums are at the top, allowing indie music lovers to discover great new talent and albums to buy.  Members may vote “Hype” if the album is buzzyworthy or “Drop” if the album just plain out stinks.  Streaming audio tracks are available for members to listen to as well as the ability to comment and talk to your fellow members about the group or track.  Each artist and album gets their own page.  In order to keep the site focused on Indie, users are encouraged to flag uploads that are too mainstream.
