Animoto: What does your music LOOK like?

When you listen to certain tunes, it invokes a certain feeling…images in your head start flying in your head. For instance, animoto.jpg listening to David Choi’s That Girl, brings up all the romantic moments I’ve had. What if you could put what you’re hearing and feeling into pictures?

Animoto uses artificial intelligence to analyze your music and pictures to automatically rearrange them in accordance to what the music is making you feel. All you do is upload or link the is to your photos, then upload your tune. Animoto will then use artificial intelligence to automatically create a professional slide show with your tune playing. The pictures will be arranged according to the emotion evoked.

It would be cooler if Animoto had the option of ust selecting pictures from an already available list of pictures or just link to flickr and use images from there without you have to upload any.

Either way, it’s still an interesting piece of application. Animoto was created by two film/tv producers who have produced shows for MTV and ABC Productions, so you know this is a cool application. For those artists who do not have a decent camera to record their music, use this to add some picture to your Youtube videos instead of leaving it blank with you singing.

Thanks for nice write up! We do indeed have a feature where you can upload pictures from flickr, and even facebook. The only website that isn’t working for us right now is photobucket, however, we are working on getting this corrected.

    Thanks again!
