Getting to know JD

JD is a singer/songwriter based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Most of JD’s recordings are blank/black because he has no way of amplifying his keyboard while recording with the webcam. Most of the videos are recorded by connecting the keyboard to his computer. However, JD was nice enough to send us a video of him playing, recorded by borrowing a keyboard amplifier from his friend. He never had actual singing training and also writes his own lyrics. JD lists his musical influences as Radiohead, Fleetwood Mac and new bands such as Okkervil River as well as Jens Lekman. Youtubian zenfrog described JD as “like Sara McLachlan but a guy.”
